The Sunday Refix: Random Impulse X Katy B – ‘On A Mission’

This refix REALLY means alot to me and aside from a semi-sloppy mix, its easily my fave.

I really felt that with this refix i made it my own it terms of instrumentation. Not only that, but alot of music soops and other industry superiors are really giving me the cold shoulder, so the lyrics mean an incredible lot too

Anyway! its week 6, and im super tired!

The Solar Powered Toothbrush

Why you’d want to forgo a teeth-brushing session with some delightful Indian curry, caramel or darjeeling tea-flavored toothpaste I’d never know. Still, at least this solar-powered toothbrush would save you money over extended use.

120 teenagers will be putting the Soladey-J3X toothbrush through its paces, testing whether the embedded solar panel’s chemical reaction is a worthy replacement for actual toothpaste.

The toothbrush works by transmitting electrons through the middle of the toothbrush bar, with the electrons then reacting with acid in the saliva and causing a chemical reaction. It’s this chemical reaction which the Japanese company Shiken hopes will replace toothpaste and kill off plaque and bacteria just as efficiently.

There’s an obvious flaw however, with the toothbrush needing a smidgen of natural light to power up the solar panel. My bathroom, like plenty of other small London flats, doesn’t actually have a window. Am I supposed to place this toothbrush at my kitchen sink, then?

The Seabreacher “sharkboat”

Que the jaws theme!! nananananananana!!

Seabreacher X is a pretty tame name name for such a kickass bit of aquatic engineering. I don’t know how you can call a shark-shaped submersible that can jump 12 feet in the air anything other than Jaws. Or AAAAHHHHHHH!

Either way, it’s a marked upgrade from Innespace’s previous Seabreacher, which could travel up to 20mph below the surface but looked like some pansy dolphin. Seabreacher X can go 25mph when submerged, 50mph on the surface, and looks like it just ate Samuel L. Jackson in Deep Blue Sea.

The subs are outfitted with a camera, a stereo system, even a video game system (which sounds safe). Future projects from the company include a more perfect barrel roll and, no kidding, a hammerhead edition, according to the Daily Mail.

These are, not surprisingly, more expensive than you can afford at $100,000-plus. But at least now you’ll know to envy and fear them. Check the Vid Below!

The All New PSP

There’s a rumor floating around Gamescom in Cologne, Germany this week, that selected VIPs are supposedly getting hands-on with the next PSP, which apparently features touch-controls on the back of the device for added gameplay input.

If true, it shows that Sony is definitely sitting up and taking notice of Nintendo and its DS range of touchscreens—though it could be years too late for them.

Sony has already told Eurogamer that it “does not comment on rumor and speculation,” but sources have told the site that it’s slated to go on sale before 2011 finishes up. This is beginning to sound more like that fabled PSP2, which would be a true successor to the various PSP models launched so far.

VG247 had previously said they’d heard the next PSP would contain dual cameras, a touchscreen, a four-cell processor and even embedded 3G connectivity. If the device has even half of the aforementioned rumors, I’d be interested. And it’s been a long time since I was interested in a PSP.

The Titanium Blue Ps3

Finally, Yes! Finally we now know for sure that Gran Turismo 5 will ship this year, and especially this november… For the occasion, SCEI announced today a new PS3 bundle including not only GT5, but also also 5 special cars including the Audi R10 TDI, Honda NSX GT500, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Nissan GT-R GT500, as well as the McLaren F1 and a Titanium Blue PS3…

Apple Set To Release a 7′ inch iPad!

Ah, the 7-inch iPad rumor. It’s been circling around for quite some time. This time, though, the Chinese news outlet Economic Daily News is reporting that the smaller iPad might hit retailer’s shelves before Christmas and, well, the source could be correct. They have a great track record and accurately reported the iPad‘s launch well before the Stevenote. However, the smaller iPad would need to launch rather soon for it to see successful holiday sales. Perhaps during the iPod touch Facetime event that’s rumored to be right around the corner.

Any later than October and stores will be in full holiday mode and it would be difficult for Best Buy, Walmart, and other retailers to give this new iPad much attention — although it probably won’t need any marketing help from stores. Proper inventory management would be near impossible and the launch would probably be not as smooth as the original iPad saw. If the 7-inch iPad is coming, Apple is also probably in talks with retailers already, coordinating holiday circulars and buying guides meaning leaks are totally possible.

A smaller iPad would likely sell like Devin’s pancakes, though. Nearly every consumer is well aware of the $500 iPad right now, making a smaller and cheaper model nearly an impulse buy if it’s priced in the $300 to $350 range. It could be this year’s hot gift. Of course the Nintendo 3DS might have something to say about that.

The House made from a HUGE rock

The ture stone house, in the montains of Fafe, Portugal. Check out watch a video of the house(no English).
“Inspired by the Flintstones, this odd house was constructed between two giant stones on the hillside of Fafe Mountains in Portugal. Like most contemporary homes, it has a front door, roof, and selection of windows, while the huge spherical boulder on the uphill side of the house and scoop-shaped end give it a prehistoric feel.”
