Tony Starks Iron Man Briefcase!

Want an easy Halloween custom? Buy this $450 Iron Man briefcase from Entertainment Earth, don your best suit and sunglasses, and go as Tony Stark. The ladies will love it and at least you’re briefcase will look the part even if your frumpy nerd frame doesn’t exactly scream superhero. Entertainment Earth’s replica is finished in bright red aluminum with leather pockets and a laser cut EVA foam complete with an Stark logo inside. Of course it doesn’t contain the Mark V armor inside, but that’s probably for the best. It’s not like you have an Arc Reactor embedded in your chest. [Entertainment Earth via Baller House]

is there really a better briefcase on earth? i think not 😀

The Blackberry Playbook

It was really a matter of when, not if, RIM would throw its hat into the tablet arena with a BlackBerry branded device. Now the fun and games iPad has an appropriate foil in the all business BlackBerry PlayBook. The 7-inch device runs an “amplified” (to use RIM’s marketing speak) version of BlackBerry OS with multi-tasking, a WebOS-like app switcher and a brand new WebKit browser with support for Flash 10.1. The usual mix of media and e-reading apps will be present, as will the ability to edit office documents, connect to screens and projectors via HDMI (and pump out 1080p video!), and of course all the BlackBerry e-mail and messaging goodness you’ve come to associate with the brand. Under the hood, the BlackBerry PlayBook packs a dual core 1Ghz processor and a full 1GB of RAM, theoretically doubling the power of that other big name tablet.

RIM is billing the PlayBook as the first “professional-grade” tablet, and while Apple (among plenty of others) might take umbrage, other companies don’t command the same amount of respect from enterprise customers as RIM. The iPad might have cornered a large market, but a device like the surprisingly sexy PlayBook has a good shot of getting tablets into the boardroom. Sadly, there’s no word on price or release date yet. Check out the promo video after the break.

THis Weeks Refix: Devlin Ft Yasmin – Runaway

Week 12! This week is Runaway by the ever so talented Devlin and Yasmin who not only sings, but happens to be my favorite Dj ever!

musically this was pretty straight forward, so instead I decided to focus closer on the lyrical aspects of the song. The original version describes a young man and his girlfriend escaping their surroundings in search of a place that delivers them true freedom, but there are always 2 sides of a story, so I decided to speak from the perspective of the young mans mother dealing with the fact that her child has runaway as it were 😀

the best part of this (and also the trickiest) was transcribing the melody of the hook into guitar. I gotta say, it has a VERY interesting structure that constantly moves, top marks to Yasmin for creativity and execution!

well, thats all from me this week, only 2 more weeks to go till volume 1 of the refixes are up for download too so keep your eyes peeled!

The Pizza Topped With 20 Mini Pizzas!

Ive not decided whether or not id tag this as looking delicious or not, but id definitely give it a try!

what makes this pizza even more bizarre is the reason it was actually made. The final piece was a collage of different cultures’ food (Hawaiian, vegan, meat lovers, macaroni, pepperoni, pesto pine nut, etc.), a collage of the actual pizza itself in an attempt at providing some perspective to the viewer of the levels of experience they might be having outside of the pizza, and finally a collage of the people attending the opening and participating in the piece by putting it inside of them.

fancy no?

The Blackberry Storm 3

Is this the first picture of the BlackBerry Storm 3? BerryReview thinks so, after a tipster sent it to their mailbox. And I’m inclined to agree—although I wasn’t expecting that trackpad.

If we recall, the Storm 2 and the original Storm both leaned heavy on BB touchscreen-tech SurePress. This Storm 3, though, possibly conceding a point, puts trackpad navigation back in place.

Other details are limited: we can expect a 3.7-inch display, 8GB of internal memory, and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity. As for processor and other specs, we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Sunday Refix: Random Impulse X Labrinth: Let The Sunshine

week 11… its 1pm, again no sleep, and my laptop got wiped. good times! haha.
ok this week its the man himself mr labrinth!

I Added a HELL of a lot of things that wern’t in the original, from hi hats and cymbals to guitars all over the place, oh and I think its the first time i put down a guitar solo at the end of a refix too. Ive taught myself quite a few instruments this past year, but one that I havent quite got the hang of yet is the keyboard, and that made the main riff of this refix take a while to say the least.

I hope he gets to hear this as id LOVE to hear what he thinks if my remake haha!

anyway till next week guys and gals…
