A lot of people just bracket kate as another Lilly Allen knock off that plays piano, but id be the first to disagree. Fair enough, they both have that cockney accent and subject matters that are very abrasive and in your face, but i feel a lot more warmth and ‘charm’ in her songs, that along with her unique idiosyncrasies expressed via her story telling nature makes her definitely stand alone from her peers, to me anyway.
