amazon_go_stock_1-0

Ok this shit is just plain mental, and I mean that In the Best Possible way. You scan your phone which identifies you, then just walk around, throwing in whatever you want into your bag. Walk right out the door without interacting with anyone or anything and you get billed as if you ordered something online. In the video they very loosely explain how it all works and I still dont get it, all i get is that this is a definite game changer if it goes well. check it out

OOOOh DAMN Now this is some real cool shit right here. A mini drone specifically designed to take selfies, that fits in the back of your iphone case, which you CONTROL with your iphone, AND charges via iphone!

All you do is slide Airselfie  out of the case and let it fly up to 20 meters (66 feet) away, where a 5MP camera will be able to take pictures of you and store it in its 4GB internal memory. The drone is also able to record HD-quality footage. There are three flight modes, with the simplest being “Selfie Mode”; presumably this means it’ll just park itself at a distance and take pics. The purpose-built case comes with its own battery, so it’ll charge the drone when not in use, giving it a 3 minute flight time.

Compatible smartphones include the iPhone 6, 6s, 7, 7 Plus, Huawei P9, Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. For those without a compatible phone, a separate power bank is available that can be used to charge the drone up to 20 times. It also sports a Micro-USB port that can be used for charging.
It’s currently undergoing some crowdfunding, with a €179 (US$189) pledge securing you a drone, a phone cover and a Micro USB cable. Shipping is slated for March 2017.

Apples Selling a Book For $300 lol

designed-by-apple-in-california-1-400x536So its come to this. The makers of the mac book have now made an…er..mac book, but literally this time.

On Tuesday, Apple released something unique: not a phone or a laptop or wireless earbuds, but a coffee table book. Designed by Apple in California features exquisite photographs of iconic Apple products, beginning with the iMac in 1998 and culminating with the Apple Pencil. In true Apple fashion the book comes in two sizes: a 10.20 x 12.75-inch copy for $199 and a 13 x 16.25-inch copy for $299.

Yup, you heard right $300, flipping, dollars for a book of photos. Now this is a bit unfair as I’m all for artistic photography books being sold for prices like this, but seeing as its coming from a massive tech corporation, I cant help but see this as no more than a glorified catalogue.

Having said all that though, theres no denying the quality of this book:

“Like all Apple products, the attention to detail is meticulous: the tightly bound pages are edged in silver; the paper is Apple-specific Heaven 42 Scheufelen from Germany — as is the Bamberger Kaliko linen with bespoke dye. The printing is simply astonishing: custom low ghost Epple inks and 8 CMYK color separations (4 is the norm) with 280 line screen printing give the photographs deep, rich blacks and colors so bright as to make a grown design lover weep. As for the photographs themselves, they are of course impeccable. All were shot by Andrew Zuckerman in a typical “Appley” minimalist style, bathing Apple’s older hardware in the modern “press shot” aesthetic.”

(-written by the verge the verge)

what do you guys think?

The New Nintendo Switch Is Like 4 Consoles In One

nintendo-switch
Nintendo just released a video of its new Switch console, the console previously known as the NX. The system can be played with wireless controllers and act as a traditional home console when plugged into its base, but when removed from its base it transforms into a portable gaming console with two removable game controllers attached to each side. Tired of holding the thing? Flip out the screen’s stand, remove the controllers from the sides, and you can play it play it without having to hold it (I assume it weighs a fair amount). The video also shows the thing running Skyrim, so that’s something.

I aint gonna lie, this is a pretty sick concept, but unless a good few mates catch on, you’ll just be the guy with ‘the new nintendo thing’ when your peoples come round and thats about it… I think ill wait and see before I splurge
