If You’ve had a krispy Kreme doughnut from your supermarket, or one of their stalls at the bigger train stations, then you might have the same view that I had about them which was: “meh, they’re pretty nice I guess…” but they wasn’t something I’d exactly jump for joy about. While I was at a mates house we somehow got on the topic of the glazed doughnuts and how the taste was a little overhyped, and this is when it all changed. My mate grabbed a plain glazed doughnut and threw it in the microwave for 15 seconds…. MY GOD it was incredible. It tasted like the fresh warm doughnuts you get at the funfair or circus and EVERYONE knows those are the best doughnuts on the planet.
Now I totally get why the queues were so long at the krispy kreme stores when they first opened, Its because you got them badboys WARM.

Right, so for the last month I’ve been releasing music under my real name ‘Jovel’ as opposed to the band name Random Impulse & its going really well. So well in fact that im being asked, quite frequently, about when and where Im going to be performing live, so I thought I’d address it & give you a little update on the matter.
Im currently working out a BRAND NEW live show; New songs AND a new set up, which is taking a little time to get perfect, but believe me, its coming along very very quickly. I dont want to give to much away, but its going to be quite different from the Random Impulse setup I toured with in the past, but just as awesome I promise. As you can probably tell from listening to the music ive been releasing recently, This material is a lot more personal to me, and this new set up will mirror that, but at the same time keeping the strong and vibrant energy that my band had so keep your eyes peeled, I’ll be out on the road sooner than you think

In other news I went to see my boy Faith Sfx on Tuesday.
If you’re unfamiliar with him he’s a world champion beatboxer, arguably the best in the country, and is regularly seen with Plan B both on tour & in the studio. one minute we’re having a long talk and catch up about our future plans, and the next he’s giving me lessons on how to beatbox and looping using one of these
What has this got to do with my live show though? Nothing? Everything? all will be revealed soon enough, theres a method to the madness trust me.

Ive known Big narstie for a very very very long time. So long infact that I can’t even remember when we first met. If youve never heard of Big Narstie before and now decide to google him, you’ll probably be presented with a mass amount of his ‘uncle pain’ videos, giving the impression that he must be some talented new comedian of some sort. Now dont get me wrong, Narst is REALLy REALLy funny, but where he shines even more than his comedic prowess is spitting. This is a monster of a track man. check it out

This is probably the first ‘chill out’ track I’ve ever made, and as my mates say, its totally got ‘smokers anthem’ vibe to it, which is a bit weird seeing as I dont even smoke weed! any time i hang with Ed I do the same thing i do when i hang with any other of my friends, you take pictures, videos of the moment and throw it up on your blog, tumblr instagram etc. Only thing its that with Ed, I always forget that when I post something up involving him your time line ends up like this lol:
Dont get me wrong! I love you sheerios, sheeranators etc, and im super happy that you support my boy as much as you do, but DAMN you go cray! Saying that, one day I hope I gather fans as dedicated as you guys , so good work, and keep supporting him haha.
