The Sunday Refix: Lil’ Wayne – Drop The World

WEEK 17.. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!

At the time of writing this its 3:14 in the afternoon and ‘fake tales of san Francisco” by the arctic monkeys just came on my itunes. Those of you that follow me on twitter or facebook will already know the horror that ive had to deal with tonight.

to make a long story short, this week i had to mix my single and had a ton of meetings, leaving me with having only 8 hours sleep shared between the last 5 days. Pretty bad right? OH BUT IT DOESNT STOP THERE!!!

So its about 1am and im just adding the finishing touches to the refix and what happens?? MY COMPUTER SWITCHES OFF!!! before the rage set in, i simply switched the mac on again and started over, i mean you all know how late i work sometimes, so it wasnt the end of the world…

so im nearly finished with the refix for the SECOND time and what happens? LOGIC CRASHES AGAIN!! Its now around 5am and bare in mind the 8 hours in 5 days sleeping pattern. What do I do? for me there’s only one option…

DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!

Im SO thankful for everybody that comes on here, subscribes and comments on my refixes every single week and to me, you’re all worth that dedication.

I’ve just realized the irony of what took place tonight… its halloween haha, what a nightmare, pun intended.

well thats all from me! see you guys next week! and thank you again 🙂 PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!

The Playstation Phone

It’s hard to believe that what we’re looking at is real — but we assure you, the picture above is in fact the PlayStation Phone you’ve long been waiting for. As we reported back in August, the device you see is headed into the market soon, likely boasting Android 3.0 (aka Gingerbread), along with a custom Sony Marketplace which will allow you to purchase and download games designed for the new platform. The device snapped up top (and in our gallery below) is sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (a chip similar to the one found in the G2, but 200MHz faster), 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches. Looking almost identical to the mockup we hit you with this summer, the handset does indeed have a long touchpad in the center which is apparently multitouch, and you can see in the photos that it’s still bearing those familiar PlayStation shoulder buttons. For Sony buffs, you’ll be interested to know that there’s no Memory Stick slot here, but there is support for microSD cards.

The particular model in these shots is still in prototyping mode. As such, the unit doesn’t have a custom skin (not even SE’s Timescape design seen on the Xperia devices), and is said to be rather buggy. We’re digging into more facts as we speak, but it’s likely that much of what we reported earlier is still accurate, and though the device could still be headed for a 2010 release, 2011 is looking much more realistic. Still, there’s a lot of time between now and the holidays… so keep your fingers crossed!

Pulsey Style Salad

its been a while since putting any of my masterpieces up, but for all the newcomers: I cook, REALLY well at that! (Can you hear that? Its the Sound Of a man blowing his own trumpet!!)

Here we have a shrimp and green leaf salad, topped with halloumi cheese, diced streaky bacon and caesar Dressing, with some granary bread topped with garlic and herb roule cheese.

bon appi bloody tite!

The Foldable Toaster

It’s the future, say around the year 2015, and in this new-age we no longer believe in standard forms. Like a toaster need not be a rectangular box, it may as well be a Halo! A Super-flexible Toaster which is a sheet of heating element; blanketing the bread and making crisp toasts! Not fussy about space, you can fold it into half or roll it into wrap and stow it till next breakfast. Easy baby!

Designers: Burcu Bag, Amalia Monica & Vinay Raj Somashekar

The Fold-Up Keyboard

Fold-able Keyboard Concept designed by Yoonsang Kim & Eunsung Park. Designed to be portable and small enough to take with you everywhere, the Keystick keyboard is a full-sized in its unfurled form, but then it folds like a Japanese fan when you want to hit the road.
“Key Stick is a personal keyboard that you take with you everywhere, never needing to touch public keyboards that have been touched by others”

Never Ending Soap !

Too much use of the word soap, but that’s exactly how this concept works. The Frugal Soap has one aim, to use every bit of the soap at hand. So instead of coming up with solutions like the Re-Bubble Dispenser or the Soap Bank, where you need to device more objects to make one plan work, Ji Woong Kim has simply re-designed the soap-cake! A convex bottom and concave top is his solution. So when you’re down to your last bit of soap, just smudge it into the concave part of a new soap, and the two become one whole new soap! The design is such that the last slither and a new cake complement and merge together. Nice idea!

The Sunday Refix: Ghetto – Top 3 Selected

week 16! another week another refix and this week i went back to my grime roots with the CLASSIC top 3 selected by ghets (formerly known as ghetto)

This beat relies mainly on power, so as an electric guitarist its right up my street! The beat was remade in the record time of 2 hours (yes, yes im very proud haha)

For those that arnt familiar with ghettos work, as an m.c hs flow is out of this world, so it was VITAL that I go all out in that area lyrically to do it justice (and i like to think i did!)

You know today I woke up and realised that this is refix number 16, meaning that ive been doing this EVERY SINGLE WEEK without fail (even on my birthday) for FOUR WHOLE MONTHS. well… only 8 more months to go i guess haha.
