SEGA console Zippo Lighters

I smoke, and its terrible habit, but now nicotine lovers now have another way to enjoy their cancer sticks, thanks to a new set of Zippo lighters from SEGA. As Walyou reports, the game company recently unveiled a new line of lighters designed to look like SEGA game consoles. Smokers and/or pyromaniacs can choose between a 16-bit Mega Drive Genesis console, or a 32-bit Saturn version. Both are available in white or black and are reportedly small enough to fit in your pocket. The only problem, though, is that a single console lighter will cost you about $114 — not to mention the fact that it apparently requires a (Japanese language) manual to use properly. Then again, if you’re serious about smoking, gaming or just wasting money, this kind of stuff is probably right up your alley. From: Walyou

The Gadget That Turns Your TABLE Into A Speaker

Want an MP3 player that’s different from the rest of them out there? iMo’s Resonance MP3 player will certainly fit that bill. Sure, it looks like a fancy shaped MP3 player that sports 2GB of internal storage blah blah bleh, but the interesting thing is that the Resonance speaker doesn’t have a built-in speaker, but when it comes into contact with a hard surface, it’s capable of turning said object into a speaker, hence it’s “Resonance” name. It also sports a built-in FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack in case you want to hook it up to another MP3 player. Do you think $46 is worth it for such a gimmick? It’ll wow your friends once at the very least.

The World’s First Light Saber

OMFG!!!!

Built with the blue-laser diode of a dismantled Casio Green Slim projector, the $200 Spyder III is the world’s most powerful portable laser. It can permanently blind you and set your skin—or anything else, really—on fire almost instantly.

“With greater power comes the need for greater responsibility.” That’s actually what Wicked Lasers, the mad geniuses behind the Spyder III, wrote to us in an email describing this terrifying piece of technology. They wanted to make one thing very clear: this is not merely a laser pointer, and it’s certainly not a toy. What it is, really, is a weapon.

The diodes in Casio’s new mercury-free Green Slim projectors apparently allow for unprecedentedly powerful portable lasers, and Wicked Lasers has gleefully harvested them for the 1 Watt Spyder III. Comparing it to the $2000 Sonar, the company’s reigning portable laser powerhouse, Wicked Lasers explains that the blue Spyder III laser is 2000 times brighter to the human eye, and, at $200, 1/10th the price.

Wicked Lasers is throwing in a free pair of safety glasses with the purchase of a Spyder III, which might make wielding one marginally safer, but just writing this post has left me terrified enough to stay as far away from these things as possible. For a few weeks, anyway, until our review unit gets here. [WickedLasers]
