The World’s First Light Saber
OMFG!!!!
Built with the blue-laser diode of a dismantled Casio Green Slim projector, the $200 Spyder III is the world’s most powerful portable laser. It can permanently blind you and set your skin—or anything else, really—on fire almost instantly.

“With greater power comes the need for greater responsibility.” That’s actually what Wicked Lasers, the mad geniuses behind the Spyder III, wrote to us in an email describing this terrifying piece of technology. They wanted to make one thing very clear: this is not merely a laser pointer, and it’s certainly not a toy. What it is, really, is a weapon.
The diodes in Casio’s new mercury-free Green Slim projectors apparently allow for unprecedentedly powerful portable lasers, and Wicked Lasers has gleefully harvested them for the 1 Watt Spyder III. Comparing it to the $2000 Sonar, the company’s reigning portable laser powerhouse, Wicked Lasers explains that the blue Spyder III laser is 2000 times brighter to the human eye, and, at $200, 1/10th the price.
Wicked Lasers is throwing in a free pair of safety glasses with the purchase of a Spyder III, which might make wielding one marginally safer, but just writing this post has left me terrified enough to stay as far away from these things as possible. For a few weeks, anyway, until our review unit gets here. [WickedLasers]

Space age speaker docks

The floating half orbs, the exquisite teardrop, the glowing blue light, and well, everything about these Speakal speakers makes this a number one seller among aliens. Luckily, us humans can buy one too.
Considering their past efforts, Speakal really upped their design chops for the iCrystal. The Speakal iCrystal Docking Station works with all iPhones (yes, even the iPhone 4) and iPods through the dock connector and everything else with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The iCrystal has basic touch functions to go along with a terribly bland, just-from-earth remote. We’d tell you how they sound but frankly we don’t care. When aliens come to Earth, we’ll jam out together with these speakers no matter how bad they are. It’ll set you back $79.99 and you have your choice of black, white, or red.
Recording In Chalice Studios

Chalice Studios is one of THE most popular studios in the Entire U.S, with people like kanye west, Lady gaga, pink, Rhianna and a whole bunch of other famous musicians completing their albums using their facilities.
One of the first times I ever went to hollywood I had the pleasure of recording here but alas I didnt have my flip cam with me. But fear not readers! This time round I was lucky enough to be recording in studio A and nearing the end of my session, decided to give a grand tour! enjoy!
The iPhone 4

Yurrrp, its finally here, after much umming and ahhing steve jobs dropped the bomb and released the phone EVERYONE had been waiting for. the iPhone 4.
Steve Jobs claims that it will revolutionize the smartphone world in the same way the iPhone did when it was released three years ago. Offering over 100 new features, he will cover just 8 to whet our appetites. It is a beauty to behold, and we can’t deny that statement considering Apple’s recent track record, with the iPhone 4 sporting glass on the front and back, alongside steel around the sides which makes it hark back to the good old days of an ancient Leica camera. For those who are interested only in the price, you can choose from 16GB and 32GB capacities which will retail for $199 and $299, respectively – obviously with a 2-year contract, where it will come in white or black colors. Pre-orders for the iPhone 4 will begin a week from tomorrow, shipping to US, France, Germany, UK and Japan first followed by 18 other countries in July.
It is 24% thinner than the iPhone 3GS at 9.3mm, making it the thinnest smartphone on the planet for the moment. Features touted include a front facing camera as expected, powered by Apple’s own A4 processor while sporting quad-band HSDPA (7.2Mbps), a compass, an accelerometer, a micro SIM tray, a camera with LED flash behind, a top headset jack, a noise cancellation microphone, a 3-axis gyroscope (that’s new), GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi-n connectivity to boot. micro SIM, eh? That would mean cutting up your existing SIM card to fit in nicely if you decide to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone 4 for use outside of the US, eh?
Apart from that, the iPhone 4 will also sport an all round antenna thanks to its band which is part of the primary structural elements of the phone – “brilliant engineering” as Steve put it. Hopefully this would mean being able to receive signals even in hard to reach places previously.

Play Playstation Games On Your Mobile!
Thats right peeps! ps1 running right off of your phone thanks to the one and only, ZodTTD. This is his first project for the android operating system and boy what an opener
ShaDenSu of DigitalDisbeliever got a sneak peek of Zod’s product earlier this week. According to her, Zod is collaborating with the author of the already well established NESoid/GameBoid emulators on the project, providing a pretty stable codebase for the stuff that ZodTTD brings to the table.
As you might’ve guessed, the PSX emulator requires some pretty beefy hardware. ZodTTD says it’s already running at a faster clip on the Nexus One than it is on the iPhone, and more optimizations are going to be made before release — but if your handset’s not packing a Cortex A8 or Snapdragon processor, don’t expect a reasonable framerate.
It’s not ready for release just yet, and, as far as I know, it’s ETA is.. well, whenever it’s done. It’s okay to drool in the mean time, though — trust me, you’re not the only one.

The Sony Nextep – The Complete PC On Your Wrist

Our present need for internet connectivity is so profound that secondary devices like the Nextep Computer are bound to happen. Developed to be worn as a bracelet, this computer concept is constructed out of a flexible OLED touchscreen. Earmarked for the year 2020, features like a holographic projector (for screen), pull-out extra keyboard panels and social networking compatibility, make the concept plausible. Ten years from now is not too far away, so how many of you think we’d be buying such gadgets?
